Usher opened the show with his single “Love In this Club” he looked so fatigued…and it was so sad to see him perform only one song!

DL Hughley hosted the show…to bad all the black comics were too busy to host the BET Awards cause for DL to get the call…nobody must have been available!

Diary, I saw Chris Brown rocking a mohawk in his gucci ensemble looking like a totally hot fucking mess sitting next to that rhino head rihanna! I mean we know they are a couple do they have to copy everything Beyonce and Jay-Z do? Anyways someone needs to do a recount in the pools for best Male R’n'B cause i dont know why Chris Brown would win Best Male over J Holiday… unless the BET Officials are between 13 years old and younger (Debra looks like shes clocking on 14 soon)!

Critics are saying that Mike Myer’s latest movie “The Love Guru” is the worst movie of the year.

The film which stars Mike Myers, Jessica Alba and Justin TImberlake is said to be clearly unfunny! Filled with myers geriatrics and Alba’s stiffness plus Justins lack of acting skills its no surprise that movie goers where highly dissapointed (if there were any).

The New York times trashed the movie saying:

“”The Love Guru” is downright antifunny, an experience that makes you wonder if you will ever laugh again.”

The Associated Press say

In “The Love Guru,” Mike Myers must come to love himself before he can love others. From the credits of this scattershot comedy sketch stretched and strained to movie length, Myers clearly loved himself to the point of narcissism going in.

Besides starring, Myers is a producer and co-writer. He’s in the cast list four times — three times for the same character (Guru Pitka, Young Pitka and Teenage Pitka) and for a two-second cameo as himself.

Educative and entertaining, it is set against the backdrop of a tense, corrupt political society, where several high ranking officials are assassinated one after another.

The movie features veteran actors such as Genevieve Nnaji, Joke Silva, CBA, Norbert Young, Segun Arinze, Kunle Coker, and rising stars like Najite Dede, Nkirukah Alintah, Kalu Ikeagwu and Iyabo Amoke.

Shot in Lagos and Abuja, 30 Days is a collaborative effort between Temple Productions and Native Lingua Films –– an American based film production company. The production team comprises seasoned professionals like Mildred Okwo, who wrote the screen play for the movie and made her directorial debut with the movie, Shona ”Cricket” Peters, Jonathan Gbemutor and Monica Orbe.

The movie centres on the life of young Kene Alumona (CBA), who returns to Nigeria for just 30 Days and is drawn into the exploits of a revolutionary group called FRACA, who are determined to rid society of corrupt politicians. A battle soon breaks out between the government forces and the group. Feelings and emotions became part of the intricacies, as a deep connection develops between the protagonist, Kene Alumona, and a leader of the group, Chinora Onu (Genevieve Nnaji).

On the political character of the work, Boyo declares, ”30 Days was borne out of the frustration with the political and economic situation in Africa and seeks to educate viewers on the need to take a stand in the fight against corruption. By bringing Mildred Okwo‘s vision of 30 Days to the big screen we hope to help build a better world for future generations.”

A Nollywood Fan on a popular Nollywood Movie Site Naijarules simply known as ThickMadam blasted the Actors Guild of Nigeria in an open letter last weekend.

Dear Members of the AGN,
I have sat back, and observed, how you continually meddle in affairs that have nothing to do with the Actors Guild.

How dare you tell a grown woman what to wear? Or even think that it makes any iota of sense to meet to discuss what a grown woman with a child was wearing on her own time, at a function that she was invited to?
The level of ignorance that has been displayed by this body in the past 2 years (which is when I first began paying attention) is mind boggling (to those of us who have minds that actually function. I hesitate to put you in this group, for obvious reasons)

I have a couple of simple questions that I need answers to. Your responses will help me determine how to further dialogue with you, and maybe make sense of that stance that you take in matters that apparently have nothing to do with the actors guild.
1. What is the purpose of the AGN?
2. Do you have a constitution?
3. Are you a legally recognized body?
4. Are the actors who make up the AGN membership entitled to private lives?
5. More importantly, how do people become members of the AGN?
